KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Blake Bodenmiller hit a grand slam in a six-run ninth inning as No. 25 Georgia stormed from behind to beat 12th-ranked Tennessee 9-5 Sunday.
Trailing 5-3 heading into the ninth, the Bulldogs (31-15, 15-9 Southeastern Conference) tied it on an RBI-single by Jeff Keppinger and a wild pitch by loser Devon Nicholson (3-1) on an intentional walk to Doc Brooks with two out. After a hit batter, Bodenmiller hit a fastball over the fence in right center off Will Curtiss for the victory. It was his first home run of the season.
Tennessee (34-13, 13-11 SEC) had two RBI sacrifice bunts by Ryan Case. Ryan Moffett had a solo homer for the Vols.
Max Havel (1-0) pitched three shutout innings of relief for the victory.
