Mrs. Jacqueline Hatcher



GROVETOWN, Ga. - Entered into rest Friday, April 27, 2001, at St. Joseph Hospital. Mrs. Jacqueline McKnight Hatcher, 48, of Anderson Road, Grovetown, Ga. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 1, 2001, at Westover Memorial Park with the Rev. Allen Yarborough officiating. Mrs. Hatcher, a native of Columbia, S.C., was an employee of the Columbia Co. Board of Education, and owner of Garden City Carriages and Jackies Ponies. She was a member of Old Union Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Robert R. McKnight and Harriet F. McKnight. Survivors include three sons, Lawrence Fordham Hatcher, Justin Taylor Hatcher and Austin Kyle Hatcher, of Grovetown; one daughter, Melissa Lynn Platt, Augusta; two brothers, Robert R. McKnight and Philip T. McKnight of Atlanta; two sisters, Harriet Peden, Highland, N.C., and Robin Armstrong, Eagle River, Alaska; and three grandchildren. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at Starling Funeral Home, Hwy 78, Harlem, Ga. The Augusta Chronicle-April 29, 2001
