Mr. Lyman Hyrams



Sr. Retired chef AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest Wednesday, April 4, 2001, at the Department of Veterans Affairs Downtown Division, Mr. Lyman Kettle Hyrams Sr. He was born July 27, 1914. He resided in Augusta for the past 50 years. Mr. Hyrams was a retired chef and a Navy veteran of WWII. Survivors include a devoted wife, Mrs. Georgia Hyrams, Augusta; a son, Mr. Lyman Hyrams, Augusta; three granddaughters, Mrs. Lutasha (Jimmy) Hyrams-Holmes, Miss Lymanda Hyrams, Ala., and Miss Felicia Hyrams, Augusta, Ga.; two great-grandsons, Jimmy Leonte Holmes, Augusta, and Jaybi, Augusta; three nieces, Mrs. Freddie Mae Jenkins, Augusta, Ms. Neva Harris, Waco, Texas, Ms. Linda Murray, Augusta, Ga.; two brothers-in-law, Mr. Luther Scholfield, Augusta, Mr. Wilmer (Mildred) Davis, Augusta; goddaughter, Ms. Yvette Robinson, Augusta; sister-in-law, Mrs. Edith Hyrams, Augusta; niece, Mrs. Dorothy Edward, Aiken, S.C.; and a host of other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be held Monday, April 9, 2001, at 11 a.m. in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Rev. Hardy Bennings officiating. Friends may call at the residence or the funeral home.
