Mr. William Christman



NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - Entered into rest Saturday, April 7, 2001, at University Hospital. William L. Christman, 60, husband of Becky Toole Christman of Stevens Creek Drive, North Augusta. Graveside services will be held Monday, April 9, at 2 p.m. at Westover Memorial Park, with the Rev. G. Larry Scales and Dr. Eleazer Benenhaley officiating. Mr. Christman was a native of Augusta, Ga. He was retired from the US Army Reserves as a Lt. Col. after 25 years of service. Mr. Christman was the owner of Guns and Things in North Augusta and a member of Sweetwater Baptist Church and the Misfit Sunday School Class. Additional survivors include a son, William L. Christman II; a daughter, Candice C. Christman; his father, Louis G. Christman, all of North Augusta; a brother, L. Phillip Christman II of Augusta. Honorary pallbearers include David Byers, Warren Hair, Chick Morris, Leon Walden, Wade Roundtree, Steve Fishman, John Morgan, Billy Flourie, Lee Wetherington and members of the Misfit Sunday School Class. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this afternoon from 4 to 6 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association, Augusta Chapter, 1899 Central Ave., Augusta, GA 30904.
