Mrs. Ruby Cummings



THOMSON, Ga. - Mrs. Ruby Mae Cummings, 83, the wife of the late Mr. Jabus Cummings, of 313 Sycamore Street, died Wednesday, April 4, 2001, 9:20 p.m. at her residence. Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 8, 2001, at 1:30 p.m. at First Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, Winfield, Georgia, Pastor Roscoe F. Perry officiating. Interment will follow the service at the First Mt. Carmel Memorial Garden. Mrs. Cummings had lived in McDuffie County all her adult life. She was a retired civil service employee from Ft. Gordon, Ga. She traveled frequently to Nevada, Alaska and Atlanta visiting her children. Survivors include her children, Mrs. Juanita C. (Moses) Wheeler, Thomson, Ga., Mrs. Thelma C. (Sammie) Boyd and Mrs. Sandra (Joe) Scott, all of Las Vegas, Nev., Mr. John H. (Mia) Cummings, Decatur, Ga., Mrs. Eddie M. (Nathaniel) Collins, Atlanta, Ga., and Dr. Shirley C. Reams, Lithonia, Ga.; 15 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Louise Crawford and Mrs. Bernice West, both of Thomson, Ga.; loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
