Whether anyone wants to admit it or not, the choice to keep guns in a home where school age children live, together with the ammunition for those weapons, clearly and directly contributes to the recent wave of school shootings.
Many gun advocates assert it's not the guns which kill or maim. Excuse me? Factor in the low impulse control in many youth copied from the adult behavior they see in countless television shows, movies and real life, and the sad outcome is predictable.
A major reason European and other countries have only a tiny fraction of the shootings we do is the existence of gun control statutes. Most helpful would be hearing from readers who have created a sure way to keep guns andor ammunition secured.
