Mrs. Ettrell Gunter

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Ettrell Steed Gunter, of Augusta, Ga., widow of the late Coley C. Gunter, died Friday, March 23, 2001 at the St. Joseph Hospital. Funeral services will be Monday, March 26, 2001, Platts Crawford Ave. Chapel with Dr. K.C. Stevens officiating. Entombment will follow in Westover Memorial Park Mausoleum. Mrs. Gunter was a native of Richmond County and was the daughter of the late Robert Leonard Steed Sr. and Florence Phillips Steed. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and the Willow Wood Garden Club; and the Columbia County Humane Society and the Richmond County Humane Society. She was also an aspiring artist and poet. Survivors include one brother, Chester Earl Steed of Augusta; eleven nieces; Betty Goff Donahue, Shirley Goff Hand, Myrtle Goff Dyches, Sandra Goff Krenson, Nancy Steed Jones, Dianne Steed Johnson, Patricia Williamson Yonce, Cheryl Williamson Yonce, Martha Williamson Mayson, Debra Williamson Henderson, Chris Steed Fowler. Pallbearers will be Lanny Farr, Wayne Gunter, Clarence Mayson, Robert T. Richards, Larry O. Yonce, Patrick R. Yonce. The family will receive friends from 3-5 pm this evening at the funeral home.
