GreenJackets' rally falls short

FORT MYERS, Fla. - The Augusta GreenJackets' spring exhibition record dropped to 6-2 Saturday when they lost 12-10 to the Quad City River Bandits of the Class A Midwest League.

Trailing 12-3 after six innings, the GreenJackets showed manager Mike Boulanger a lot of spunk to close the final gap to two runs.

Outfielder Justin Sherrod had a five-RBI day, which included a double and a home run, to spark the GreenJackets.

Augusta wraps up spring practice April 3 and heads to Macon to open the South Atlantic League season April 5.
