I used to work with Dr. Bonnie Bragdon, director of Richmond County Animal Control, in Hephzibah. She is a very kind and compassionate person. I have seen her go out of her way to help people.
She has taken in many stray animals herself, including a stray we found tied to the door one morning and a puppy that was dropped off because it was severely burned. She took both of them to her own home to keep them from having to be put to sleep. When they were both healthy she adopted them out.
Dr. Bragdon is doing all she can for Richmond County. If more people would support her and have their animals spayed or neutered and have identification on them, then fewer animals would have to be put to sleep.
I admire Dr. Bragdon for putting her career on hold to help solve the problem at Richmond County Animal Control. If there were more unselfish people like her in the world then it would be a better place.
