Mr. Philemon Waters III



AIKEN, S.C. - Funeral services for Mr. Philemon Berry ÒBoÓ Waters III will be held Wednesday, March 21, 2001, at 4 p.m. at Millbrook Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Eddie Leopard and Reverend Dr. James W. Rivers officiating. Interment will follow in Aiken Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Roy Everette Kirkland Sr., Roy Everette Kirkland Jr., Frank Lucius, Ray Rauton, W.C. Pattillo, Cecil Woodward, William S. Watson and Willie Harley. Mr. Waters, 66, of Aiken, S.C., died Friday morning, March 16, 2001, at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. Born in Augusta, Ga., Mr. Waters lived in Johnston, S.C., before coming to Aiken, S.C., 41 years ago. He was a very active member of Millbrook Baptist Church, where he was a member of the Whittlers Club. Mr. Waters loved fishing the Edisto River; being involved with his grandkids and his church; was an avid Clemson Tiger fan; and loved shag and beach music and gardening. He retired from Savannah River Laboratories at Savannah River Site in 1995 as a Lab Technician after 40 years of service. His wife, Betty Johnson Waters; a daughter, Elizabeth Waters Bornscheuer, Aiken, S.C.; sons, Philemon ÒPhilÓ Berry Waters IV, Aiken, S.C., and Jonathan Mitchell Waters, Charleston, S.C.; sisters, Marina Waters Kirkland, Johnston, S.C. and Betty Phil ÒTinaÓ Odham, Sebring, Fla.; and three grandchildren, Lauren, Emily and Anna Grace Waters, survive Mr. Waters. Memorials in memory of Mr. Waters may be made to Millbrook Baptist Church, 176 East Pine Log Rd., Aiken, SC 29803. The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 20, 2001, from 7 to 9 p.m. at George Funeral Homes, Inc., Historic Downtown Chapel, 211 Park Ave., SW, Aiken. S.C. The Augusta Chronicle-March 19, 2001
