Mrs. Essie Prather



DEARING, Ga.-Mrs. Essie Englett Prather, 80, 3984 Culberth Road, entered into rest Saturday March 17, 2001 at her residence. She was the wife of the late Milton Prather and mother of the late William R. Prather. Funeral services will be held 4:00p.m. Monday, March 19, 2001 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev.s Todd Upchurch and Bruce Poss officiating. Interment will follow in church yard cemetery. Survived by 3 grandchildren, Bonnie Hobbs and Donna Tuten of Dearing and Rebecca Kennedy, Raymore, Mo.; Two sisters Molene Norris, Thomson and Bessie Gay, Dearing; two brothers Allen Englett and W.T. Englett, Thomson; four great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Wayne Ivey, Jack McCorkle, Don McCorkle, J.B. Key, Tony Key, Andy Hobbs, David Hobbs and Dexter Lovins. Mrs. Prather was a native of Jefferson Co, Ga. But had lived most of her life in McDuffie Co. A homemaker, member of Calvary Baptist Church, member of McDuffie Farm Bureau, member of adult Sunday School Class. Friends may call at residence of Mrs. Helen Phillips , 4241 Fish Hatchery Road, S.E., Dearing, Ga or at the funeral home. Mrs. Prather will lie in state from 3 to 4p.m. Monday at the church. John B.
