COLUMBUS, Ohio --Courtney Coleman scored 18 points and Caity Matter added 14 more to lead Ohio State to a 73-62 win over DePaul Sunday in the second round of the Women's National Invitational Tournament.
The Buckeyes (19-11) took the lead on a three-pointer from Matter with 10:32 left in the first half and never gave it up, leading by 12 at the end of the first half and by as many as 19 points in the second half.
Lenae Williams and Briana Fitzgerald dominated the scoring for DePaul (18-14) with 21 points and 19 points, respectively.
Ohio State shot 66.7 percent from the field in the first half, making 18 of 27 shots, versus 46.4 percent for DePaul, which made only 13 of 28 field goal attempts. The Blue Demons outscored Ohio State 29-28 in the second half, but it wasn't enough to catch the Buckeyes.
Ohio State moves to the third round to play Western Kentucky.
