Mr. Francis H. Porter Sr., 61, of Old Waynesboro Road, died Monday, Feb. 26, 2001.
The funeral will be at 4 p.m. Friday at Friendship United Methodist Church, Hephzibah, with the Rev. Thomas Conway officiating. Burial will be in Hephzibah-Vance City Cemetery, Hephzibah.
Mr. Porter, a native of Marion, S.C., was a mechanic. He was Methodist.
Survivors include three sons, Herman LeGrande Porter, Thomas Wayne Porter and Francis Herman Porter Jr., all of Augusta; two daughters, Wanda Porter and Kathy Porter, both of Augusta; two brothers, Bill Porter and Jackie Porter, both of Florence, S.C.; a sister, Gladys Grant, Lorenburg, S.C.; and 19 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Wade Porter, Donnie Skillman, Allen Cochran, Lee Porter, Joseph Kelly and Joseph Monroe.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, Lumpkin Road.
