Mr. Leroy Cook



HARLEM - Mr. Leroy Franklin Cook, 56, of County Line Road, died Monday, Feb. 26, 2001, at his residence.

The funeral with full military honors will be at 1 p.m. today at Starling Funeral Home with Dr. James C. Elder Jr. officiating.

Mr. Cook, a native of Montpelier, Ohio, had retired as a master sergeant from the Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War, during which he received a Bronze Star Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal and National Service Medal.

Survivors include his wife, Rosemarie Cook; a son, Preston Cook, Dearing; three daughters, Kelly Cook, Savannah, Sheila Sumrall, Harlem, and Jessica Whiddon, Thomson; his parents, Lester and Agnes Cook, Arizona; two brothers, Terry Cook, Arizona, and Maurice Cook, Martinez; and four sisters, Kate Decker, Ohio, Diane Custar, New Mexico, Sally Junot, Arizona, and Judy Johnson, Mississippi.
