Mrs. Marjorie Becton Fitzhugh, 56, died Thursday, Feb. 22, 2001, at Medical College of Georgia Hospital.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Mount Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Clyde Hill Sr. officiating.
Mrs. Fitzhugh, a native of Augusta, had retired as a civil service employee from Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center after 19 years and was a member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church, where she was a member of Sunday school, Baptist Training Union, Junior Choir, E. Golden Gospel Choir, E.A. Moss Gospel Choir, Mount Calvarians and Walker Baptist Association Choir.
Survivors include four brothers, Willie Becton, James Becton and Robert Becton, all of Chicago, and Arthur Becton, Augusta; and three sisters, Louise Butler and Melissa Hammond, both of Augusta, and Florence Thomas, Chicago.
Friends may call at the residence of Melissa Hammond, 1745 Cornell Drive; or at W.H. Mays Mortuary.
