Mr. Luther Youngblood

HEPHZIBAH - Mr. Luther Allen Youngblood, 71, died Sunday, Feb. 25, 2001, at Salem Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Augusta.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today at Hephzibah City Cemetery with the Rev. Thurman Walden officiating.

Mr. Youngblood, a native of Augusta, was an Army veteran of World War II and had retired as a truck driver from E-Z-GO Textron.

Survivors include his wife, Rachel Jenkins Youngblood; two daughters, Nancy Outley, Evans, and Gina Elder, St. Simons Island; two brothers, Lewis Youngblood, Martinez, and George Youngblood, Albany; three sisters, Margaret Beville, Mary Nichols and Carrie Belle Ledbetter, all of Augusta; and seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Poteet Funeral Home, Peach Orchard Road, Augusta, is in charge of arrangements.
