Mrs. Mattie Kitchens



THOMSON - Mrs. Mattie Bell Kitchens, 84, of B. Roy Reeves Road, died Sunday, Feb. 18, 2001, at Doctors Hospital, Augusta.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Second Mineral Springs Baptist Church, Washington County, with Winston Grier officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Kitchens, a native of Hancock County, was a homemaker and a member of House of God House of Prayer.

Survivors include three sons, Robert C. Lewis Kitchens, Thomson, Jerome Huff, Atlanta, and Antonio Kitchens, North Carolina; 10 daughters, Katie Chatman, Sparta, Mae Burnette, Roberta Huff, Doris Huff, Idella Brinkley, Shirley White and Alberta Lane, all of Thomson, Susie Mae Andrews, Warrenton, Daisy Johnson, Atlanta, and Mattie Pearl Reed, Sylvania; and 81 grandchildren, 132 great-grandchildren and 50 great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.

Friends may call at the residence.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at Thomson Funeral System; or at the church after the service.
