Mr. William Fulbright Sr.



THOMSON - Mr. William Lee "Bill" Fulbright Sr., 75, of Jeanette Street, died Thursday, Feb. 22, 2001, at Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Centers, Augusta.

Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. today at Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens with Charles Bogan officiating.

Mr. Fulbright, a native of McDuffie County, was a Navy veteran of World War II and had retired as a truck driver from National Homes. He was a former member of Raysville Boat Club and a member of Young Memorial Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Opal Duckworth Fulbright; a son, Wayne Fulbright, Thomson; and five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be William Lee Fullbright III, Lawson Fulbright, Johnny Fullbright, Reuben Fullbright, Jimmy Fullbright, Alton Davis Jr., Marion Greene, Buzzy Dent, Bud Norman, Reid Borders, Bill Appling, Don Allen, Don Phillips, L.W. Moore and Edward Morris.

Memorials may be made to: Young Memorial Methodist Church, 1711 Washington Road, Thomson, GA 30824.
