LOUISVILLE, Ga. - Mr. Willie Lee "Pop" Flournoy, 76, of Georgia Highway 17, died Sunday, Feb. 18, 2001, at Candler County Hospital, Metter.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Pierce Grove Baptist Church with Charles Holloway and the Rev. Willie Pierce officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Flournoy, a native of Jefferson County, had retired from Thermo-King Corp. and was a member of Pierce Grove Baptist Church, where he was a deacon, treasurer and a member of Helping Hands and Fair and Honest Society.
The family said; "Willie had an undying faith and unwavering strength. He never ceased to do the work or live the life that was pleasing to his Savior."
Survivors include four sons, Harvey Flournoy, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Ronnie Flournoy and Johnnie Flournoy, both of Louisville, and Gregory Flournoy, San Diego; four daughters, Glenda Freeman, Louisville, Elaine Flournoy and Sharon Moore, both of Savannah, and Carolyn Flournoy, Atlanta; and 10 grandchildren.
