The odds are one in more than 9 million, but someone in the area beat them - and now they're $13 million richer.
One ticket purchased last week in Augusta matched all six numbers in Saturday night's Lotto Georgia jackpot drawing, worth an estimated $13 million.
Georgia Lottery Corp. officials in Atlanta said Sunday that the ticket was purchased in Augusta, but they cannot say where until the winner comes forward.
"The winner can't claim the prize until Tuesday when our office opens at 8:30 a.m.," said Georgia Lottery spokeswoman Parquita Nassau.
The Atlanta office is closed today to observe Presidents Day, she said.
If you bought a ticket, check your numbers. The winning numbers for Saturday's Lotto Georgia were 26-37-40-42-44-46. The winner has 180 days to claim the prize.
All jackpot prizes must be claimed at the Georgia Lottery Headquarters in Atlanta.
Augusta's last Georgia Lotto big winner was Angela Thomas of Belvedere. She bought a Georgia Lotto ticket from the Smile Gas station on Reynolds Street and won $8 million in 1995.
