Saturday: A free course to obtain a Hunter Certification Card will be offered from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the Safari Club Conference to be held at the Gwinnett Civic & Cultural Center on I-85 and Sugarloaf Parkway. Friday-Sunday: The 19th annual Southeastern Wildlife Exposition will be held in Charleston, S.C. The event attracts more than 40,000 people each year and includes art, fishing and hunting displays and other features. Call (843) 723-1748 for more information.
Feb. 20: The Sierra Club will hold its monthly meeting at 7:30 p.m. at the Unitarian Church, 3501 Walton Way Extension. The program includes a discussion of a recent safari to Tanzania, East Africa. Call 863-2324 for information.
Feb. 26: The CSRA Flyfishing Association will meet at 7:30 p.m. at the Brandon Wilde Clubhouse, 4275 Owens Road, Evans. Programs include future flyfishing trips, fly tying and fishing reports.
March 8-10: The South Carolina Department of Natural Resources and Quail Unlimited will hold its 14th annual Wild Quail Management Seminars at the Webb Wildlife Center in Hampton County, S.C. The Fort Gordon Sportsman's Club meets on the third Thursday of each month at 6 p.m. Membership is open to the public. The shooting range (7A) will be open to the public for firing and zeroing in rifles. A 3-D archery range also is available. Cost is $6 per person ($3 to club members).
