Mr. James Cone



STATESBORO, Ga. - Mr. James W. "Billy" Cone, 89, died Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2001, at East Georgia Regional Medical Center.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today at Eastside Cemetery with the Rev. Holly Tapley officiating.

Mr. Cone, a lifelong resident of Bulloch County, was a Navy veteran, had retired as co-owner and operator of Bradley and Cone Feed & Seed Co. and was a charter member of Pittman Park United Methodist Church, where he was a Sunday school teacher and a member of the Administrative Board.

Survivors include a son, Billy Adams Cone, Lake Lanier; a daughter, Amanda Eastwood, Taylorsville, N.C.; a brother, Edward O. Cone, Statesboro; three sisters, Margaret Tolbert, Athens, Catherine Tillotson, Vidalia, and Jean Snooks, Ailey; and six grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to: Pittman Park United Methodist Church, 1102 Fair Road, Statesboro, GA 30458.

The family will receive friends at the church after the burial.

Hodges-Turner-Anderson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
