Mr. Walter Honeycutt



Mr. Walter Joseph Honeycutt, 53, of Gibbs Road, Evans, died Thursday, Feb. 8, 2001, at Medical College of Georgia Hospital, Augusta.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. today at Starling Funeral Home, Harlem, with the Rev. Allen Olive officiating.

Mr. Honeycutt, a native of Nassau, N.Y., was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War and worked in telecommunications for AT&T. He was Christian.

Survivors include his parents, Norman and Elizabeth McCollum, Evans; four brothers, Wayne Honeycutt and Kerry McCollum, both of Evans, Patrick McCollum, Martinez, and Curtis Honeycutt, Tennessee; and three sisters, Wanda Jordan, Jackie Newport and Audrey Honeycutt, all of Tennessee.

The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. today at the funeral home.
