Mrs. Azzie Lee Stroble



HAMPTON, Va. - Mrs. Azzie Lee Ryans Stroble, 55, of North Hampton Drive, died Monday, Jan. 29, 2001, at Medical University Hospital.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. today at First Baptist Church of Hampton.

Mrs. Stroble, a native of Williston, S.C., had been invited to the White House in recognition of her accomplishments in initiating early childhood development programs. She was a member of St. Peter Baptist Church, Elko, S.C., and First Baptist Church of Hampton.

Survivors include her husband, Paul E. Stroble; a son, Paul A. Stroble; a daughter, Konsuela Caldwell; three brothers, Henderson Ryans Jr., Williston; Herman Lee Ryans, Spokane, Wash., and Robert A. Ryans, Tacoma, Wash.; three sisters, Queenell Dixon, Rosa L. Fagans and Julia Mae Gary, all of Philadelphia; and four grandchildren.

Cooke Brothers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Simmons Funeral Home, Williston, is in charge of local arrangements.
