Mr. Talmadge Wright



SANDERSVILLE, Ga. - Mr. Talmadge Wright, 89, of Georgia Highway 88, died Friday, Feb. 2, 2001, at Washington Regional Medical Center.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at May & Smith Funeral Directors, Tennille. Burial will be in Sisters Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Wright, a lifelong resident of Washington County, had retired as a farmer and from Texaco Oil Co. after 59 years. He was a member of Sisters Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Tommy Wright, Tennille, and Billy Wright, Sandersville; a brother, C.C. Wright, Sandersville; three sisters, Agnes Wieland, Grand Rapids, Mich., Mary Chambers, Columbus, and Kathryn Stephens, Belton, S.C.; and eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Byron Carter, Richard Welch, Clarence Durden, Varnie Ellington, Bill May, Thomas Daniels, James May and Jerry Andrews.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Friends may call at the residence.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
