Miss Katherine Way



WAYNESBORO, Ga. - Miss Katherine "Kat" Way, 35, of Anns Way, died Friday, Jan. 19, 2001, at Burke Medical Center.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Thompson Bridge Baptist Church with the Rev. J.D. Shaw officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Miss Way, a native of Burke County, was a member of Ambitious Ladies Social Club, where she was vice president, and Thompson Bridge Baptist Church.

The family said: "We are grateful to our friends who have been so thoughtful during the departure of our beloved Katherine. May God bless you and keep you in His care."

Survivors include a son, Jermaine Way, Waynesboro; two brothers, Joe Ward, Girard, and Johnnie Ward, Sylvania; and 11 sisters, Lizzie Way, Frances W. Harrison, Lynette Way, Barbarah Ann Chandler, Arletha Mack and MaLynda Jones, all of Waynesboro, Ruby Shorter, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Ethel Williams, Augusta, Annie Mae Wimberly, Pompano Beach, Fla., and Vera Walker and Marshall Turntime, both of Jacksonville, Fla.

Pallbearers will be Donald Owens, James Mickens, Louia Sapp, Thomas Whitfield Jr., Timothy White and Quintin White.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of Ambitious Ladies Social Club and Sportsman Social Club.
