LINCOLNTON, Ga. - Mrs. Tessie Leroy Smith, 91, of Georgia Highway 220, died Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2001, at Thomson Manor, Thomson.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. today at Martins Crossroads Congregational Holiness Church with the Revs. Wade Palmer and Kenneth Law and Bishop Cullen Hicks officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Smith, a native of Lincoln County, was a homemaker and a member of Martins Crossroads Congregational Holiness Church.
Survivors include two sons, James H. Smith and John Smith, both of Lincolnton; four daughters, Peggy Downey, Alabaster, Ala., Betty Keener, Lincolnton, Virginia Burnley, Thomson, and Nancy Belangia, Augusta; and 18 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Rusty Downey, Mitch Smith, Brian Smith, Greg Keener, Rob Burnley and Dave Burnley.
