Mr. James Willie Lewis, 72, of Koger Road, died Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2001.
The funeral will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Good Samaritan Baptist Church with Dr. Robert W. Turner Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Mount Olive Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Lewis, a native of Washington, was an auto technician and a member of Good Samaritan Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Christine Smith Lewis; four sons, Willie Lewis, Robert Lewis, Jesse Lewis and Alfred Lewis, all of Augusta; a daughter, Bernice Heller, Raleigh, N.C.; his mother, Mandy Lewis, Crawfordville; three brothers, Nathan Lewis and John Lewis, both of Crawfordville, and Gary Lewis, Atlanta; four sisters, Rose Stephens, Erma Smith, Jessie Middlebrook and Carrie Moore; and 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Mario X. Lewis, Moroado A. Lewis, Lamar P. Thomas Jr., Roderick Lewis, Melvin Taylor, Jeffery Wilson and James K. Heller Jr.
Friends may call at the residence or at C.A. Reid Sr. Memorial Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
