Mr. Robert "Bob" Chase Sr., 66, died Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2001, at Medical College of Georgia Hospital.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Platt's Funeral Home, Belair Road, Evans, with the Rev. Bobby Renew officiating. Burial will be in Bellevue Memorial Gardens, Grovetown.
Mr. Chase, a native of New Hampshire, was an Army veteran of the Korean War and a sheetmetal worker for 40 years.
The family said, "He was a loving father, husband, father-in-law and friend."
Survivors include his wife, Janice Chase; two sons, Robert Chase Jr., Augusta, and Jimmy Chase, Martinez; four daughters, Victoria Goff, Columbia, Christine Crump, Evans, Angie Laster, North Carolina, and Jean Hill, Greenville, S.C.; three brothers, Arthur Chase, Jimmy Chase and Wallace Chase, all of New Hampshire; two sisters, Jody Chase and Jollie Chase, both of New Hampshire; and 21 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Dale Goff, Ricky Rickerson, Ronnie Goodwin, Dana Koss, Scott Crump and Ray Simmons.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
