Phil Kent is a hoot. He champions "respect for the creator" in the public schools of Georgia, but he despises "tree huggers" and all environmentalists. Moreover, he heaps vitriolic scorn upon any of God's creatures that disagree with his myopic view of the world.
If Mr. Kent speaks for the saints of Augusta, count me among its pagans. If I were a betting man, I would wager that Linda Schrenko has occupied as many church pews as has Mr. Kent.
Of course the governor, Ms. Schrenko and Mr. Kent have no clue on the real problems facing public education and thus, have no fix of any substance. So bashing each other is an amusing pastime between elections.
