Miss Gwendolyn Jackson



WAYNESBORO, Ga. - Miss Gwendolyn Jackson, 48, of McCoy Church Road, died Friday, Jan. 5, 2001, at Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Centers, Augusta.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Asbury United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mark Edwards officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Miss Jackson, a native of Detroit, had been medically discharged as a private first class from the Army. She was a former member of John Wesley Methodist Church, River Rouge, Mich.

The family said, "We wish to express our deepest appreciation to each of you for all acts of kindness extended to us during our bereavement period."

Survivors include her mother, Lillian Moore, Waynesboro; and four sisters, Barbara Jean Jackson, Waynesboro, Cheryl Holloway and Mary Evans, both of Trenton, N.J., and Dorothy Walker, New York.

Friends may call at the residence or at Phinazee and Son Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
