LINCOLNTON, Ga. - Mrs. Jessie Mae Maddox Parks, 69, of First Baptist Street, died Friday, Jan. 5, 2001, at Wills Memorial Hospital, Washington.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at New Tabernacle Baptist Church with the Rev. Matthew Harden officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Parks, a native of Lincoln County, was a homemaker and a member of New Tabernacle Baptist Church.
The family said, "She was a good neighbor, a soft-spoken, kind, affectionate person who always greeted you with a smile."
Survivors include her husband, Ellis Parks; three brothers, Aron Maddox Sr., Washington, Thomas Maddox, Lincolnton, and Roy E. Maddox, Brooklyn, N.Y.; and two sisters, Willie Mae Jones and Bertha H. Ellis, both of Lincolnton.
Pallbearers will be her nephews and great-nephews.
Friends may call at the residence or at Norris W. Gunby Sr. Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
