WEDNESDAY:

MTV begins a 19-hour marathon of anti-hate-crime programming to kick off a public-service campaign against discrimination. Anatomy of a Hate Crime, a movie about murdered college student Matthew Shepard, begins at 8 p.m. At 10 p.m., the network will begin a continuous scroll of hate crime victims' names that will last 17 hours without commercials.

THURSDAY:

The Augusta Lynx face Florida in a home game at 7:05 p.m at the Augusta-Richmond County Civic Center, 601 Seventh St.

Singer Mary J. Blige is 30.

FRIDAY:

The Augusta Mini Theatre presents Pickin', its annual tribute to Martin Martin Luther King Jr., at 8 p.m. at the Jack B. Patrick Technology Center at Augusta Technical College, 3116 Deans Bridge Road. Other performances are at 3:30 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
