FRANKLIN, N.C. - Mr. Richard "Dick" Ashe, 73, of Fox Run Drive, died Saturday, Jan. 6, 2001.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Holly Springs Baptist Church with the Revs. Eddie Trull and Lynn Dulakis officiating. Burial with Masonic rites will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Ashe, a native of Augusta, had retired as a radio announcer, sales manager, news director, news correspondent, professional photographer, Realtor, FBI undercover agent and business owner. He was the former owner of Ashe Photography, Dick Ashe Mortgage Co. and Rabun Mortgage. He was awarded 1988 Broker of the Year and Silver Medal Award from Lakeland Yacht Club 30th Anniversary Celebration. He was former president of Advertising Club of Lakeland and national director of the Advertising Federation and was a member of Florida Association of Mortgage Brokers; Lakeland Masonic Lodge 91, where he was a 32nd degree Mason; Junaluskee Masonic Temple Lodge 145; and Egypt Shrine Temple, Tampa.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Elam Ashe; three sons, Dennis Ashe, Hixson, Tenn., Rick Ashe, Patterson, N.Y., and Jeff Ashe, Atlanta; two daughters, Yvonne Payne, Tulsa, Okla., and Dana Amaismeier, Riverview, Fla.; two brothers, Donald Ashe, Edgewater, Fla., and Doyle Ashe, Waynesboro, Ga.; a sister, Dorothy Ashe, Augusta; and three grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be members of Junaluskee Masonic Temple Lodge 145.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Macon Funeral Home and from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
