BARNWELL, S.C. - Mr. James Hampton Rourke, 65, of Seven Pines Road, died Sunday, Jan. 7, 2001, at his residence.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Folk Funeral Home, Williston, with the Rev. Billy Mew officiating. Burial will be in Williston Cemetery, Williston.
Mr. Rourke, a native of Charleston, was a welder at Charleston Naval Yard and welding supervisor in the Middle and Far East. He was a member of National Rifle Association and Corner First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Mitchum Rourke; two sons, James Myers and Eddie Myers, both of Barnwell; five daughters, Debbie Jenkins, Moncks Corner, Cindy Eubanks, Williston, Cheryl Rourke, Round O, Eletha Lawrimore, Barnwell, and Teresa Johnson, Pickens; a sister, Diane Lactaz, Long Branch, N.J.; and 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
