TOP TV: With TV viewers largely preoccupied with the holidays, ABC won the prime-time ratings for the week of Dec. 25-31 and padded its lead in the season standings.

The Tuesday edition of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, with nearly 19 million viewers, was the week's most popular prime-time program, according to Nielsen Media Research.

ABC averaged 11.7 million prime-time viewers for the week (7.3 rating, 13 share). The seven broadcast networks drew 45.9 million viewers last week, down from the season average of 56.4 million.

ABC is averaging 13 million viewers a week this season. NBC has a narrow edge over CBS for second place, but CBS is expected to improve with the premiere of Survivor II later this month.

A rating point represents 1,022,000 households, or 1 percent of the nation's estimated 102.2 million TV homes. The share is the percentage of in-use televisions tuned to a given show.
