Wednesday: Georgia's Wildlife Resources Division will hold a public meeting at 7 p.m. at Thomson-McDuffie County Library to discuss hunting seasons and regulations. Saturday: A fly-tying clinic will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Brandon Wilde studio at Brandon Wilde, 4275 Owens Road, Evans. The event is sponsored by the CSRA Flyfishing Association.
Saturday: A Duck Walk will be held at Phinizy Swamp Nature Park from 8 to 10 a.m. The walk will focus on wintering waterfowl that use the area. Call 828-2109 for more information.

Jan. 22: The CSRA Flyfishing Association will meet at 7:30 p.m. at the Brandon Wilde Clubhouse, 4275 Owens Road, Evans. The program will include a discussion of salmon fishing and the "fly of the month" tying demonstration.
Jan. 27: The South Carolina Wildlife Federation will hold its annual meeting, workshop programs and awards banquet at the South Carolina Archives and History Center in Columbia. Feb. 16-18: The 19th annual Southeastern Wildlife Exposition will be held in Charleston, S.C. The event attracts more than 40,000 people each year and includes art, fishing and hunting displays and other features. Call (843) 723-1748 for more information.
March 8-10: The South Carolina Department of Natural Resources and Quail Unlimited will hold its 14th annual Wild Quail Management Seminars at the Webb Wildlife Center in Hampton County, S.C. The Fort Gordon Sportsman's Club meets on the third Thursday of each month at 6 p.m. Membership is open to the public. The shooting range (7A) will be open to the public for firing and zeroing in rifles. A 3-D archery range also is available. Cost is $6 per person ($3 to club members).
