End times seminar

Bible teacher Marilyn Hickey will lead a seminar, End Times Encounter, Jan. 14-16 at Whole Life Ministries, 2621 Washington Road.

Sessions will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 14, and at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. Jan. 15 and 16. Ms. Hickey will also speak during services at 10:30 a.m. Jan. 14.

Dance performance

Hosanna Sacred Arts Dance Company will return to The Vineyard Church Augusta, 3126 Parrish Road, for performances at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Jan. 13, and a workshop at 10 a.m. Jan. 13.

Soli Deo Gloria - All for the Glory of God - will be performed by dancers from the Birmingham, Ala., company. Kenneth Tolle is founder and artistic director.

'Feast of Lights'

The Feast of Lights, an elaborately costumed pageant, will be performed at 6 p.m. Sunday at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 605 Reynolds St.

The event, a holiday tradition at St. Paul's since the 1950s, will close the church's observance of its 250th anniversary.

A cast of nearly 100 people will portray the story of Christianity from the Nativity through the sending of the Apostles. Emily Adair, 16, a junior at Lakeside High School, and Derek Luther, 18, a senior at the Academy of Richmond County, will play Mary and Joseph respectively. A reception will follow.

Jubilee 2000 finale

Several Catholic parishes in South Carolina will hold a service ending Jubilee 2000, a year dedicated by Pope John Paul II in honor of the 2000th anniversary of Christ's birth.
