Mr. Calvin J. Canady, 59, of Martinez, died Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2001, at St. Joseph Hospital, Augusta.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Wesley United Methodist Church, Evans, with the Rev. Glen Ethridge officiating. Burial will be in Bellevue Memorial Gardens, Grovetown.
Mr. Canady, a native of Emanuel County, was a senior computer systems analyst for Morris Communications for 31 years, having served at The Augusta Chronicle and Savannah News Press. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Annell Canady; a son, Kevin Canady, Martinez; a daughter, Karen Canady-Stanford, Martinez; his mother, Zannie R. Canady, Swainsboro; three brothers, Robert Canady, Savannah, Donald Canady, Dothan, Ala., and Marty Canady, Warner Robins, Ga.; a sister, Nancy Jukes, Swainsboro; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Rogers, Loyd Gulledge, Wayne Gulledge, Derick Jukes, Darin Jukes, Evan Canady, Greg Canady and Tony Coleman.
Honorary pallbearers will be employees of Morris Communications.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, Columbia Road.
