Mr. Irving E. Rich, 82, died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2001, at Westwood Nursing Home.
The funeral will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Riverside Chapel, New York, with Rabbi David M. Feldman officiating. Burial will be in New Montefiore Cemetery, Long Island, N.Y.
Mr. Rich, a native of Bronx, N.Y., was an Army veteran of World War II and had retired as a dentist after 35 years. He was a Mason and was a member of Brooklyn Democratic Club, Brotherhood of Israel, Boy Scouts, Brooklyn Symphony Orchestra, Doctors Symphony Orchestra, West Palm Beach Symphony Orchestra and Adas Yeshurun Synagogue.
Survivors include his wife, Lynne Rich; a son, Jonathan Rich, Los Angeles; two daughters, Andrea Estroff, Augusta, and Lauren Rich, Atlanta; two sisters, Ruth Gubersky, New York, and Rita Steinhauser, Los Angeles; and four grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Harris Hartman, Malcolm Estroff, Fred Eckhaus, Carl Eckhaus, Stan Burman, Bennett Gottesman, Jeffrey Burman, Joshua Eckhaus, Brian Farren, Steve Kadishm Berme Gerson and Fred Gottesman.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, or to Simon Wiesenthal Foundation.
Friends may call at the residence or at Poteet Funeral Home, Wheeler Road.
