ATLANTA -- Georgia Tech forward Clarence Moore will miss the rest of the college basketball season with a broken left foot.
Moore already missed preseason practice and six games and will seek a medical redshirt from the NCAA, Georgia Tech coach Paul Hewitt said Tuesday.
Moore, a 6-foot-4, 225-pound forward from Norco, La., broke the fifth metatarsal bone in his left foot Sept. 3 while playing a pickup basketball game. He had surgery shortly afterward to insert a metal screw into the bone.
Moore played in five games this season before pain and soreness in the foot led doctors to sideline him before a Dec. 23 game against Morgan State. He averaged 1.2 points and 1.4 rebounds as a reserve.
