Mr. Leonard McCormick



CLEARWATER - Mr. Leonard Earl McCormick, 80, of Belvedere Road, died Saturday, Dec. 30, 2000, at Veterans Affairs Medical Centers, Augusta.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Clearwater First Baptist Church with the Rev. John Bolin officiating. Burial will be in West View Cemetery, Augusta.

Mr. McCormick, a native of Clearwater, had retired as a mechanic from Lockheed Corp. after 15 years. He was an Air Force veteran of World War II and was a member of Clearwater Gospel Singers and Clearwater First Baptist Church, where he was a former Sunday school teacher and a member of the choir and Senior Men's Sunday School Class.

Survivors include a nephew, Darryl Corley, Connelly Springs, Neb.; and four nieces, Linda Knight, North Augusta, Connie Moore, Lexington, Judy Ackley, Kietland, N.M., and Cheryl Unterfenger, McHenry, Ill.

Pallbearers will be Michael Allen, Frank Harling, Randy Morgan, Russ Morgan, Scott Morgan, Brad Nappier, David Smith, Leonard Jenkins, Eudie Jenkins and Prentice Miller.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of Clearwater Gospel Singers and Senior Men's Sunday School Class.
