Mr. Richard Taylor



AIKEN - Mr. Richard E. Taylor, 80, of Two Notch Road, died Thursday, Dec. 28, 2000, at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at New Covenant Presbyterian Church with Dr. James R. Simoneau officiating. Burial will be at 3 p.m. in Laurens City Cemetery, Laurens.

Mr. Taylor, a native of Laurens, was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and had retired as a foreman from the Fabrication and Machine Shop of DuPont at Savannah River Site. He was a 50-year member of Laurens Masonic Lodge and attended New Covenant Presbyterian Church. He was a member of Todd Memorial Presbyterian Church, Laurens.

Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Jane Bell, Aiken; and three sisters, Doris Taylor Young, Cowpens, Betty Taylor Suddeth, Clinton, and Frances Taylor Julien, Greenwood.

The family will receive friends at the church after the funeral service.
