Dr. James J. Pryor Jr., 76, died Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2000, at University Hospital.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. today at Platt's Funeral Home, Crawford Avenue, with Dr. David Jones officiating. Burial will be private.
Dr. Pryor, a native of Fitzgerald, was an Army veteran of World War II and was a dentist. He was a former member of Augusta Country Club and member of American Dental Association and Trinity-on-the-Hill United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Iris H. Pryor; a daughter, Nancy Wehrman, Saratoga, Calif.; a brother, Gerald W. Pryor, Fitzgerald; two sisters, Anna May Cobb and Elizabeth Louise Pryor, both of Athens; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Henry Cobb III, Gibson J. Pryor, James S. Carroll, Gerald H. Pryor, James Jarrett Pryor II and Tim Anderson.
