WRENS, Ga. - Mrs. Mamie Lou Patterson, 82, of Oak Lane Villa, died Thursday, Dec. 14, 2000, at Doctors Hospital, Augusta.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Stone Springfield African Methodist Church, Stapleton, with the Rev. Leroy Britt Sr. officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Patterson, a native of Jefferson County, was a member of Stone Springfield African Methodist Church, where she was a class leader and a member of Missionary Society, Brothers and Sisters of Faith and Truth Society, and president of Stewardess Board 2.
Survivors include three daughters, Mildred Mathis and Dorothy Gaston, both of Wrens, and Mamie Ruth Davis, Louisville; two brothers, Dwellie Lane and Charlie Lane, both of Wrens; four sisters, Bessie Brown, Mary Brown and Milo Yancey, all of Wrens, and Alto Brown, Rivera Beach, Fla.; and 11 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Steve Trimble, Sylvester Lane, Calvin Brown, Jerry Lane, Erskine Lane, Robert Lane, William Yancey, Wallace Andrews and Smith Patterson Jr.
Friends may call at the residence or at Freeman Funeral Home.
