HEPHZIBAH - Mrs. Alvis Geneva Romero died Friday, Dec. 15, 2000, at her residence.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Augusta, with Father John Lyons officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Augusta.
Mrs. Romero, a native of Plum Branch, S.C., was a homemaker and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
The family said, "She worked for many years as a waitress at the Town Tavern in Augusta."
Survivors include her husband, Faustin Romero; three sons, Terry Creswell, Brunson, S.C., and Ernest R. Creswell and Jerry Newman, both of Augusta; two daughters, Suzi Hamlet, Aiken, and Tina Foster, Winston-Salem, N.C.; and 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Terry Creswell, Tommy Lee Creswell, Stephen Johnson, Brain Simmons, Milton Shelley, Rex Michael and Philip Hamlet.
The family will receive friends after a 6 p.m. rosary service until 8 p.m. today at Poteet Funeral Home, Peach Orchard Road, Augusta.
