Mr. Richard Brignac



AIKEN - Mr. Richard "Joe" Brignac, 55, died Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2000, at his residence.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at George Funeral Home, Whiskey Road, with Dr. W.C. Lowe officiating. Burial will be in Southlawn Cemetery.

Mr. Brignac, a native of Baton Rouge, La., was a National Guard veteran and former apartment resident manager and electrician. He was a former member of Local Electrical Union 955, Baton Rouge. He was Catholic.

The family said, "He enjoyed his grandchildren, fishing and golf."

Survivors include his wife, Christine Sill Brignac; three sons, Jade M. Brignac, Gonzalez, La., and James Scott Bingham and Michael Robin Bingham, both of North Carolina; four daughters, Jaci Harris and Jori Planchard, both of Gonzalez, Penny Barden, New Ellenton, and Misti Bingham, Augusta; two sisters, Sharon Brignac Jackson, Baton Rouge, and Kathy Brignac, Sunshine, La.; and 11 grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m today at the funeral home.
