CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Johnson C. Smith University and USC Aiken each had four players reach double digits during Thursday night's shoot-out.
With Letisha Crawford's 21 points and Sharon Palmer's 14 points and 17 rebounds, Johnson C. Smith was able to edge past the Lady Pacers top players of Jami Cornwell (18 points, 11 rebounds) and Julie Szabo and Janell Gerk (11 points apiece) and Cortney Ray (10 points).
Johnson C. Smith (5-2) took a 46-35 lead into halftime, despite USC Aiken's (6-3) 52 percent from the field. Both teams shot over 40 percent for the game.
The Lady Pacers will travel to face Presbyterian College on Monday with a 7 p.m. scheduled tipoff.
