EDGEFIELD, S.C. - Mr. Raleigh B. Yeldell Sr., 64, of Sourwood Drive, died Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2000, at University Hospital, Augusta.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Moores African Methodist Episcopal Church with the Rev. Joseph Mason officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Yeldell, a native of Edgefield County, was an auto mechanic and a member of Moores African Methodist Episcopal Church.
Survivors include two sons, Raleigh B. Yeldell Jr. and Rodney B. Yeldell, both of Edgefield; four daughters, Brenda Y. Gordon and Carolyn A. Yeldell, both of Edgefield, Tabitha L. Black, Trenton, and Gwendolyn Smith, Cocoa Beach, Fla.; five brothers, James Yeldell, Johnnie S. Yeldell and Otis N. Yeldell, all of Edgefield, and Willie V. Yeldell and Alonzo Yelldell, both of Augusta; two sisters, Bertha Ruth Strom, Aiken, and Ester Alexander, Cincinnati; and 15 grandchildren.
Friends may call at the residence or at G.L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary, North Augusta.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
