Mrs. Irene Hunter



SYLVANIA, Ga. - Mrs. Irene Hunter, 91, of Hillcrest Heights, died Monday, Dec. 4, 2000, at East Georgia Regional Medical Center, Statesboro.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at New Robbins Branch Baptist Church with the Rev. Nadenia Clanton Parker officiating. Burial will be in Springhead Cemetery.

Mrs. Hunter, a native of Screven County, was a homemaker and a member of Springhead United Methodist Church.

Survivors include seven sons, Rother Hunter Jr. and John Hunter, both of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Ezell Hunter, Elizabeth, N.J., Connell Hunter, Tampa, Fla., and Lonnell Hunter, Lenwood Hunter and Kennesse Hunter, all of Sylvania; six daughters, Getrude Williams, Linden, N.J., Rosa McCullough, Miami, Edna Bryant and Geneva Williams, both of Sylvania, Irene Oliver, Fort Lauderdale, and Thelma Melvin, Elizabeth; two brothers, Lester Nunnally, Steeltown, Pa., and Estine Nunnally, Atlanta; a sister, Evelyn Tucker, Fort Lauderdale; and 68 grandchildren, 131 great-grandchildren and 70 great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 6 p.m. today at Sylvania Funeral Home.
